Case Records | 2016 -
Case Records is a record label run by Carsten Aniksdal, established in 2016. It was originally started to release the album Victor HR-3300, but has since evolved into a home for a range of eclectic and experimental artists.
Based in Oslo, the label presents an ever-expanding catalog that leans toward the avant-garde, bringing together artists working across electronic, ambient, modular, and noise-oriented practices. While initially focused on Aniksdal’s own work, the vast majority of releases now come from other artists. Releases span from solo works to collaborations across a wide range of artists, reflecting a broad and exploratory approach to sound and composition.
The catalog currently includes 48 releases, 21 of which are also available in physical formats. Alongside digital distribution, the label maintains a connection to physical media and independent record shops, emphasizing a tactile and material dimension to its output.
Through its curated yet open-ended profile, Case Records has developed into a platform that supports both emerging and established artists, fostering a diverse and continuously evolving body of work.
